CropPro becomes a Crop Intelligence Agronomy Partner

Updated: Jun 12, 2020

May 8, 2020 – Naicam, Saskatchewan – CropPro Consulting ("CropPro”) has become a Crop Intelligence agronomy partner and is installing, maintaining, and providing agronomic support for South Country Equipment (“South Country”) weather stations for the 2020 growing season.

CropPro is an agronomy company offering crop consulting and variable rate services (SWAT MAPS”), with head office in Naicam, SK. South Country is located in Emerald Park, SK; Crop Intelligence is South Country’s software system that interprets data from FieldClimate by Pessl Instruments. FieldClimate collects weather and climate data based off of measurements of soil moisture, rainfall, and may include other sensors such as air temperature, leaf wetness, and humidity.

Through integration of Crop Intelligence data and SWAT MAPS, CropPro and South Country will be releasing site specific water and yield maps in 2020, available to mutual customers of the two companies. The collaboration deemed “SWAT Intelligence,” will support the development of three maps: Water Holding Capacity, Available Water, and Days to Critical Moisture. SWAT Intelligence maps are free in 2020 for customers who have both SWAT MAPS and a Crop intelligence moisture probe in their field.
